Strength For All Bodies Microgrant Program

Small grants to help expand access, inclusion, and equity in strength sports.

The Strength For All Bodies Microgrant Program provides small, flexible grants to individuals and grassroots organizers working to expand inclusivity, accessibility, and equity in strength sports.

These microgrants are designed to remove barriers faced by those working to make strength sports better for all. We believe that meaningful change often happens at the grassroots level, and that even modest funding can make a real difference.

  • Microgrants may be used for:

    • Education, certifications, and continuing education

    • Attending or hosting strength or movement events

    • Accessibility supports (ASL, captioning, adaptive equipment, etc.)

    • Equipment or access costs

    • Community-based programming

    • Activities that support the mission of expanding inclusivity and accessibility in strength sports

If your idea supports inclusion and access in strength sports, we encourage you to apply. If you’re unsure whether your idea qualifies, we encourage you to apply.

  • Microgrants awards range from $50-500 for eligible expenses. Multiple grands will be awarded per cycle, depending on available funds.

  • You may apply for a Microgrant if you are:

    • An individual, informal group, or community organizer

    • A movement professional, athlete, or community member

    • Working to expand inclusivity and/or accessibility in strength sports

We prioritize applications from people and communities historically underrepresented in strength sports or those who serve the underrepresented, including (but not limited to):

    • Disabled and chronically ill athletes and coaches

    • LGBTQIA2S+ individuals

    • People of color

    • Low-income professionals

    • Caregivers and others facing systemic barriers

You do not need to be a business or nonprofit to apply.

*Demographic questions on the application are optional and are used only to help track program impact.

  • How are applications reviewed?

Applications are reviewed using a structured scoring rubric focused on:

    • Alignment with Strength For All Bodies’ mission

    • Potential impact

    • Feasibility

    • Access and need

    When will I hear back?

Application timelines will be listed on the application form. We aim to notify applicants within 3–4 weeks of the application deadline.

What happens after I receive a grant?

Grantees are asked to complete a short, low-burden post-award survey so we can report on aggregate impact and continue growing the program.

Can I apply again in the future?

Yes. Previous grantees are welcome to apply again.

    How is this program funded?

The Microgrant program is funded entirely through community support.

If you’re able, you can help sustain and grow this program by donating to the Microgrant fund. Every contribution goes directly toward expanding access and inclusion in strength sports.
