Diversity among fitness professionals and practitioners is a crucial component of generating a rich and holistic health community overall. Representation can significantly impact how marginalized folks view their potential in these spaces, and as fitness welcomes folks from all walks of life, each person deserves to see themselves represented and have their specific needs understood and addressed by the professionals in charge of their wellbeing. Still, the costs of entering different training and certification programs and pursuing the continuing education required of a successful practitioner can be a barrier to many folks from demographics already underrepresented in the strength and fitness industry.
We believe that the high cost of becoming a credentialed practitioner should not prevent passionate, qualified individuals from diverse backgrounds from becoming strength and fitness coaches and professionals. In an effort to exercise our mission to expand inclusivity and accessibility in strength sports, Strength For All Bodies is launching a new microgrant program for individuals from underrepresented communities to receive funds to help cover the costs of certifications and educational events related to strength training and mental and physical health and fitness.
If you are a member of an underrepresented community and high costs are a barrier to attending the training or event you need to thrive as a professional in this industry, please fill out the application below. Let us break down barriers of entry, embrace diversity, and stride forward together towards a more inclusive and accessible future for the strength coaching and fitness industry.
