Deadlifts at the Dome 2025:

Lifter Registration

Join us at the Rainbow Dome in Denver, CO on Saturday, November 1st for Deadlifts at the Dome! More than an inclusive deadlift meet, Deadlifts at the Dome will also feature a vendor and resource market, drag performances, community-building, and more to create a one-of-a-kind celebration of strength, inclusion, and joy while raising funds for organizations working to connect, protect, and uplift the LGBTQ+ community in Denver.

LIFTING Details:

WHEN: Saturday, November 1st. The event will start at 10am, with lifting starting shortly after.

WHERE: Rainbow Dome. 1660 Federal Blvd, Denver, CO

ENTRY FEE: The registration fee to lift in this event is on a sliding scale, between $40-120. A sliding scale ensures cost isn’t a barrier to participating. Your contribution helps us host a safe and spectacular event while raising funds for our beneficiaries. We encourage you to give at the level that feels right and best matches your means. Registration and payment are separate; please make sure you submit payment immediately after registration or you may not be added to the roster!

MEET FORMAT: This is an unsanctioned, deadlift-only event. Similar to a sanctioned event, lifters will have 3 attempts on the platform to lift the most they can on the day. Lifters will be divided into flights according to opening attempts. Registration will be capped at 45 lifters.

LIFTING STANDARDS: There will be 3 referees on the platform calling lifts. In order to count, you must be fully locked out through your knees, hips, and shoulders and then lower the bar in a controlled manner once you receive the “down” call. Beyond lifting standards, lifters will also be expected to adhere to our Lifter Code of Conduct.

HANDLERS: We encourage every lifter to bring a “handler” with them, someone to help load your bar in the warm-up area and keep you on track during your flight and make sure you’re eating and hydrating throughout the day.

SPECTATORS: Invite everyone you know! There will be no fee for spectators, although donations will be happily accepted at the door.

FUNDRAISER: You’re not just signing up to pull big weight, you’re also signing up to help us fundraise! After you register and pay, you will then be asked to set up your individual fundraising page on our Give Butter campaign. Deadlifts at the Dome is a fundraising effort to support our 3 beneficiaries: The Delores Project, Rainbow Dome, and Strength For All Bodies. Keep scrolling past the registration form and payment link or click here for more information on each organization. We’re asking each lifter to set an individual goal to raise $250, with no upper limit! You can ask donors for a flat amount, or to give a certain amount per pound you expect to lift (e.g. 25 cents per pound, max deadlift of 300 pounds = $75), or you can get even more creative!
